There are stories everywhere you look at Ten31.

Some are on the plate. Some are on the walls. Some are around the table.

And some are above your head.

Welcome to Inside Ten31, a new series where we’ll share the stories behind our food, drinks and the space we’ve created.

We’re starting by looking up.

When we created Ten31, we didn’t want the ceiling to simply disappear into the background. We saw another part of the room that could tell a story.

So we played with it.

Colour. Pattern. Greenery. Light.

Some panels remained quiet. Others became moments of colour and pattern. Greenery began to drop into the room and, gradually, what was happening above became connected to everything below.

Look closely and you’ll see some of those colours and ideas appearing again throughout the dining house.

There’s much more to this ceiling than one story can tell, so we’ll be coming back to it.
